Industrial Training Centre(ITC) is a unit of United Christian Institute a Society registered under Societies Registration Act,1860.ITC was established to develop technical skills in the young people of Punjab. Starting with private , unrecognized courses.
Objectives
To provide opportunities or technical education to people from socially and economically backward sections.
To provide job oriented vocational training to young people and thereby equip them for employment.
To meet the need of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industry.
To provide an environment of worship, religious education & Christian discipline in order to nurture Christian character in young people.
I.T.C RULES AND REGULATIONS
The rules and regulations are not exhaustive & do not limit the authority of the institute to enforce rules not written here.
Once a student is admitted, the fee paid will not refunded.
Security deposit will be refunded only after the completion of the training.
Every student discontinuing training should pay the fee for whole year.
Monthly fee must be paid by the end of each month, failing which fine will be charged @ Rs.10/- per day. Failure to pay fee for over two months may lead to dismissal from the Institute.
A trainee who absents from the Institute continuously for 10 days without permission/intimation shall be liable to be dismissed without notice.
The minimum compulsory attendance is 80%. Trainees with less than 80% attendance will not be permitted to appear in the final trade test.
A trainee who does not obey instructions given by the Principal / Instructor will attract punishment. The punishment can be corporal or fine suspension or in extreme cases, dismissal.
MOTOR MECHANIC (2 Years)
Motor Mechanic is one of the oldest and popular programmes conducted by ITC.
COURSE CONTENT : Study of car parts including functional details, Repair and Servicing of motor cars and driving experience.
SCOPE : Government Departments like Railways ,Transport ,Defence etc, Public sector Companies like Maruti Udyog etc., Private auto/two wheeler garages,
TRACTOR MECHANIC(One year)
This training will be of of great use where tractors are used extensively.
COURSE CONTENT : Detailed study of parts in tractors , servicing and trouble shooting Tractors, types of farm Equipment and driving experience.
SCOPE: Government Departments like Railways , Transport, Defense etc. Private companies like Sonalika Tractors, Sartaj tractors, PTL etc garages dealing with tractor /automobiles/farm equipment.
DIESEL MECHANIC (One Year)
Diesel engines are used in practically every area of life from road- side sugar cane crusher to generators and huge vehicles/ships.
COURSE CONTENT: Technical details of Diesel engines , Repair and Servicing of all types of diesel engines.
SCOPE : Government Department like Railways, Transport, Defense etc. Private companies using/making diesel engines.
This training is great useful in our development country.
DRAUGHTSMAN CIVIL
COURSE CONTENT: Detailed study of maps of Buildings , Bridges, Roads etc & estimate of buildings.
SCOPE: Govt. Depatment like P.W.D. , Irrigation , Government Contractor ,Private Construction companies self employment.
ELECTRICIAN (2 Yrs) & ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN( 1Year )
This is one of the most sought after Course offered by ITC.
COURSE CONTENT: Repair and servicing of all types Electrical house hold appliances and Industrial Equipment, Domestic electrical wiring and Rewinding of motors.
SCOPE : Government departments like Electricity Boards, Railways etc, Public Sector Companies like NTPC,BHEL etc, Private electrical companies, Self employment.
COMPUTER OPERATOR & PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT (One Year)
This is a basic course on computers suitable for diploma level proficiency.
COURSE CONTENT: Application software – Word Processing , Spread sheets, Programming languages- BASIC,DBASE, C++ and basics of hardware.
SCOPE : Government departments and Public /Private Sector companies as Data entry operator or computer programmer, Self employment.
SECRETARIAL PRACTICE (ENGLISH) (One Year)
Secretaries with knowledge of computer operations is essential in modern office.
COURSE CONTENT: Typing a shorthand, Computer operations, Basics of office management and drafting of general business correspondence.
SCOPE : Government Department , Public / Private Sector companies as Stenographer / Office Assistant.
STENOGRAPHY(PUNJABI) (One Year)
COURSE CONTENT: Typewriting and Shorthand in Punjabi language and drafting of letters.
SCOPE : Government Department , Public / Private Sector companies as Stenographer / Office Assistant.
WELDING AND FABRICATION(One year)
COURSE CONTENT: Welding methods , Practical in arc and gas welding and basics of fabrication.
SCOPE : Private welding workshops , Self employment.
2/3 WHEELER REPAIR (One year)
COURSE :
Trouble shooting of Scooters and Autorikshaws, Overhaul and Maintenance of scooters and Autorickshaws.
SCOPE : Private garages, Self employment
